Say hello to Mr. Fuzzy Wuzzy, your new little farm animal friend. Baaahhhh!

I’ve discovered a new purpose for sheep other than wool, and trust me, it’s so much better than a scratchy sweater. These Q-Tip sheep are not just ridiculously precious, they are easy to make with supplies I’ll bet you already have at home. Q-Tips!! Dig those suckers out of your ears and let’s repurpose them for this cute and easy craft idea.

No Wax Needed For This Easy Craft

How to make an adorable spring time craft with q tips to create little fluffy sheep.

Supplies Need To Make Sammy The Sheep

  • Q-Tips (preferably unused)
  • small ball of clay
  • felt or foam paper for the head
  • googly eyes
  • scissors
  • glue

Supplies needed to make cute cotton swab sheep.

I’m not claiming this is a recycled craft, but you could make it one if you want. Real sheep aren’t all that clean anyway and they probably stink a little.

How To Make A Cute & Fuzzy Sheep Craft With Cotton Swabs & Clay

This ridiculously cute craft is easy enough for kids of all ages. Even adults who aren’t too addicted to their phone might enjoy making this darling animal project. It’ so simple, you probably don’t even need instructions, but here is a step-by-step tutorial on how to make your new woolly friend.

Step 1For the sheep’s body, cut several ends off of the Q-tips leaving about a ¼ inch of the stem still in place. For the sheep’s wobbly little legs, cut 2 Q-tips in half.

Step 2To form the sheep’s body, roll a 1-2 inch clump of clay into a ball and then insert the shorter cut Q-tips into the clay until the surface is full. When you’re done, you should have a cool little cotton swab ball!

Step 3To make Sammy’s miniature head, cut a small oval shape out of felt or foam paper. Give him some fuzzy hair by layering and glueing a few pieces of cloud shaped felt on top. Finish his adorable little face with Q-tip ears. Our sheep needs to hear the wolf coming!

Step 4Attach the googly eyes and then insert his legs. I used hot glue to attach his little head to his body, but any sort of craft glue should do the trick. Don’t worry, he can’t feel a thing!

If you’re looking for sheep craft ideas (who isn’t!?), this Q-tip craft for kids is not only effortless to make with cheap supplies, it’s one of those projects that makes you say “Aww! This is just the cutest thing I’ve ever seen.”

Just look at him! My sheep is a boy named Sammy, but you really can’t decide on a name until you see their personalities come to life. Just DO NOT name your sheep Wilbur because there’s a pig I know that might get jealous.
