Do you hate broken crayons as much as I do?
Well if you’re like me and can’t stand to have a big pile of broken crayons then I have the best craft for you and it’s so simple to make! All you need are some silicone molds with bunnies, eggs, chicks, and anything else Easter related and all your old broken crayons. A few minutes in the oven and you can make DIY Easter Crayons that your kids will love!
As April began, we went into full Easter mode in my house. Decorating with bunnies and chicks everywhere. My kids can’t stop talking about the Easter bunny and hunting eggs! So that means we have to do a bunch of Easter crafts and activities starting with homemade crayons shaped like bunnies and eggs! These are perfect for everyday coloring, gifts for friends, or fun Easter party favors.

How To Make DIY Easter Crayons
Remove all paper wrappers from crayons and break into small pieces. Next, fill your silicone molds 75% full with the broken crayon pieces. Place Easter molds on a baking sheet before putting into oven.
Bake the crayons at 250°F for 15-25 minutes depending on the size of your molds. Once all the crayons are melted, gently remove the mold from the oven and allow to cool for at least an hour before removing from the mold!
It’s that easy to make these fun DIY Easter crayons. Perfect for Easter basket fillers, gifts, or just a fun craft for kids. I love to make these fun melted crayons as a way to recycle old, broken crayons but feel free to use new crayons if you don’t have enough broken ones lying around. Try using all the same colored crayons in one mold to get a more aesthetically pleasing look! You can even get a Peep silicone mold and make pink, yellow, and blue crayon peeps! I can’t wait to try that one.
