How To Make Adorable Jellyfish Out Of Construction Paper
Step 1Gather a variety of colorful construction paper and cut six or more thin strips out of each color (about 5 inches long). Glue your first strip into a circle, and then one by one, loop the next strip through and repeat to create several paper chains (I made seven chains total).
Step 2For the jellyfish head, trace and cut a dome shape out of a white cardboard box or poster board. I made the flat bottom portion of mine about 8 inches wide and then lightly shaded it with a blue crayon. The texture of the box gave me the unique texture you see below. Decorate or color it however you’d like!
Step 3For the jellyfish face, sketch facial features onto construction paper and cut them out, or you could simply draw a face on with colorful markers. You may also opt for Jumbo googly eyes! Get creative with whatever supplies you have on hand.
Step 4Next, glue everything together and watch as your jellyfish comes to life! For the tentacle arms, I pinched and flattened out the top loop of the chains before using Elmer’s craft glue to attach them. I recommend using a glue stick for the paper facial features so that you don’t end up with glue lines.

- These paper jellyfish would also be super cute to decorate an ocean themed pool party. Make several of them and hang them up on the walls along with some green crepe paper seaweed.
