I’m always on the hunt for fun learning games. My preschooler loves this easy activity so much I decided to share. I’m seriously when I say this dot matching game takes 2 minutes to prepare and keeps my daughter busy for a solid 30 minutes. And you probably already have all the supplies for this project at home.
Who’s This Fun Activity For?
This dot sticker matching game is perfect for 2 1/2 to 4 year olds. Not only does this simple matching game work on color matching and pattern recognition, but the jumbo popsicle sticks are easy for little hands to manipulate. I love taking this fun activity to restaurants, on air planes and long car rides. Your preschooler is going to love it!
What You Need

- Dot Stickers
- Xacto Knife, Box Cutter, or Small Knife
How To Make Popsicle Stick Dot Match
This matching activity for kids is so easy to make. Start by placing 2 jumbo popsicle sticks side by side. Place dot stickers along the center line of the popsicle stickers where they touch. (Half of the sticker should be on each popsicle stick.) Add 3-6 dot stickers per popsicle stick pair.
Use an Xacto knife to cut the stickers along the seam of the popsicle sticks, like this 👇🏻!
Gently pull the popsicle sticks apart. Repeat with as many popsicle stick/sticker combinations as you like.
That’s it! Told you it was easy. Mix up the popsicle sticks and see if your child can find the matching pairs. This is a great activity for matching colors and patterns, and even working on fine motor skills. I might even make a big batch of this matching game for my daughter’s preschool teacher. A ready made quiet time station that every preschooler will love!
Don’t forget to pin and save this awesome dot sticker matching game for later!
